A tribute to the late Jules Mastbaum was paid by Dr. Cyrus Adler, president of Dropsie College.
“Jules E. Mastbaum was a distinguished citizen and businessman of Philadelphia, greatly devoted to his native city. He was a leader in Jewish charity and philanthropic enterprises both at home and abroad and gave without stint of his means and his time. He was especially interested in Jewish learning and education. He was a member of the Board of Governors of Dropsie College and of Graetz College and a generous supporter of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York and of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He was a man of great personal charm with a genius for friendship,” Dr. Adler said.
Among those appointed to the medical staff of the new Bronx Hospital as announced by Commissioner Bird S. Coler, are: Dr. J. Lewis Amster, Dr. William Klein, Dr. H. T. Rosenthal, Dr. Joseph Deutsch, Dr. L. M. Saulpaugh, Dr. Harry Aranow, Dr. F. A. Wursbach, Dr. William Weinberger, Dr. Julius Burnstein, Dr. I. H. Goldberger, Dr. Samuel Levethan, Dr. Maxmillan Ziegler, Dr. Louis S. Aronson, Dr. Alexander Goldman, Dr. Samuel Feldman. Dr. Jacob Grossman.
