A U.S. conference for Jewish college students attracted 400 people, its largest turnout in 12 years, say officials with Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. Held in Washington in late February, the Spitzer Forum offered workshops on social issues, such as homelessness and the environment — and how students can address those problems through campus activism.
