A U.S. congressman returned a contribution from a Muslim known to be a supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah. The American Jewish Committee’s Washington chapter had written to Rep. James Moran (D-Va.) asking him to return $2,000 in political contributions from Abdurahman Alamoudi, who declared his support for Hamas and Hezbollah at an October 2000 rally outside the White House.
