A U.S. court banned student-led prayers at high school football games but agreed to allow the prayers at graduations, citing the ceremonies’ “singularly serious nature.” The ruling by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Houston, which follows recent Supreme Court decisions on the issue, will likely apply to all school athletic events in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
