A U.S. House of Representatives panel has postponed a hearing on Syria that is expected to conflict with President Bush’s speech to the United Nations. The House International Relations subcommittee on the Middle East was slated to discuss the Syria Accountability Act on Thursday morning, but was postponed because the subcommittee’s chair, Rep. Benjamin Gilman (R-N.Y.), will be traveling to New York with Bush.
