A U.S. Jewish group sponsored a full-page ad in The New York Times demanding an immediate end to the violence in the Middle East. Monday’s advertisement, organized by the Tikkun Community, along with the Network of Spiritual Progressives and the Shalom Center, demands that the Israeli government, the leaderships of Hezbollah and Hamas, the U.S. government, the international community and the United Nations “stop the slaughter in Lebanon, Israel and the occupied territories!”
