A verdict against seventeen Communists arrested in connection with an illegal Communist demonstration in Tel Aviv on August 1st, was pronounced in the Jaffa District Court tonight by Judges Raghes Khaldi and Hassan Buderi.
The sentences, which are effective from the date of arrest, were as follows: Two sentenced to six months each, one to four months, eleven to three months, one, a girl, was fined £5. Two were acquitted. All who are aliens will be deported after termination of their sentences. The others will be placed on good behavior.
