A weeklong concert series honoring 350 years of American Jewish history opened in New York. Tuesday night’s concert at the 92nd Street Y, kicking off the New York Jewish Music and Heritage Festival, featured music by 10 adopted and native Jewish New Yorkers. Two of the musicians honored, Philip Glass and Neil Sedaka, played at the concert, as did other musicians.
