A West German Bundestag internal affairs committee yesterday commended the way German police and authorities conducted themselves during the massacre of 11 Israeli Olympians. The committee announced that further parliamentary investigation was unnecessary. Fried rich Schaefer, chairman of the Bundestag committee said that “in the circumstances the authorities did everything possible, properly handled and correctly decided” what action to take. The committee’s decision was endorsed by members of all the political parties in the Bundestag. Federal Ministry officials said today that they expect the documentation ordered by Chancellor Willy Brandt to be made public tomorrow.
