The newspaper Alif Ba publishes an interview with Emir Abdullah, semi-independent Arab ruler of Transjordan, stating that he, as well as moderate Arabs in Palestine, would not oppose a plan to partition the Holy Land and annex Arab portions to Transjordan as an Arab state.

However, he said that, according to his information, Palestine would be divided into Jewish and Arab regions.
