Abel George Warshawsky, the noted American-born Jewish artist, died at his home here last night at the age of 78. A native of Sharon, Pennsylvania, Mr. Warshawsky achieved an international reputation for his work. He was a knight of the French Legion of Honor and a member of the National Painting Academy here. His works are in permanent collections in museums in Luxembourg, Paris, Washington, Cleveland and other American cities.
