About 100 Jews celebrated the acquisition of a Sephardic Torah at Prague’s Chabad House.
The Sephardic scroll is the only one its kind to be used among Prague’s handful of congregations. The Torah will be used by the small Sephardic congregation that holds its own services at Chabad for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
On Tuesday evening, celebrants danced under a chupah with the Torah as it made its way from the Intercontinental Hotel to the Chabad House a few blocks away, off the Old Town Square.
