Only 4,000 to 5,000 Jews remain in Iraq out of a community of 120,000 before the start of Israel-Arab hostilities, the World Jewish Congress reported today.
The report said that most of Iraq’s Jews migrated to Israel during 1950 and 1951. The Jewish community of Lebanon totals 10,000 of whom half are refugees from Syria, the report added.
