Abraham Shamos of New York, an attorney who was active in Jewish affairs, died yesterday at New York Hospital at the age of 59.
He was a member of the board of the Hebrew University, secretary of the American Friends of Hebrew University and a member of the board of the Associated Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Associations of Greater New York. He was a protege of the late Samuel Untermyer and of the late Louis Marshall.
