Abraham Caban editor of the” Jewish Daily Forward.” accompanied by Mrs. Caban, recurred Friday on the steamer Berengaria following a six months visit to Soviet Russia.

During his stay in Russia Mr. Caban studied conditions generally and particularly of the Jewish population and the new Jewish colonies in the Ukraine and Crimes. In a press interview Mr. Cahan stated that although it is true that the Russian people are making progress, this progress is very slow. The Communist system is wrong; it is not Socialism Socialism is possible only in a country which is highly industrial## and this is not the case in Russia where 85 per cent of the people are peasants. The wast material which he collected on Jewish life in Russia will be published by Mr. Caban in a series of artcles in the “Jewish Daily Forward.”
