Abraham Foxman rejected an overture from Mel Gibson about his upcoming movie on Jesus. The Anti- Defamation League’s national director wrote to Gibson that his letter “does not address any of the issues we raised” and does “not mitigate our concerns about the potential consequences” of the “The Passion of the Christ,” which Foxman and others see as blaming Jews for the death of Jesus.
