Abraham Leon Kaplansky, one of the first Jewish printers to settle in Canada and active in philanthropic work, died here this morning. He was 79 years old. One of the best known Jews in Canada, Mr. Kaplansky was at one time a lawyer and a Justice of the Peace. He was head of the legal department of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies.
