The Hebrew University was practically paralyzed today when 400 members of the academic staff walked off their jobs in support of demands for higher salaries. Heads of the various scientific laboratories, however, reported for duty.
The slowdown of doctors employed by the government, also in support of wage demands, continued today. On Monday, the government faces still another strike when senior civil servants employed in the court system will walk out unless their pay demands are met.
