The National Academy for Adult Jewish Studies today announced the publication of a new quarterly journal “Adult Jewish Education” aimed at promoting education among Jewish adults. The Academy is an institution established by the United Synagogue of America, central body of the Conservative religious movement.
The first issue contains articles on parent education, the fast growing week-end retreats for Jewish laymen, and methods of teaching about Israel to American Jews. Also articles on education by Edmond Fleg, noted leader of French Jewry, Samuel Dinin, Dean of Education at the University of Judaism in Los Angeles, Leo Honor of Dropsie College in Philadelphia, and Emanuel Gamoran, director of Education of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
