The Prussian Academy of Science with which Professor Albert Einstein is associated, has agreed to grant him an annual leave of absence for several months to permit him to take up his duties as head of the Mathematical School of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, N. J., it was announced today.
Professor Einstein will be enabled to take up his duties in the United States, in the institution of which he is a life member, providing he spends the remainder of the year in Germany annually.
According to present plans of the Institute for Advanced Study, the school year is to begin in October and conclude in April.
