Free Democratic Party Deputy Ernst Achenbach, formally resigned today from the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee considering the 1971 Franco-German Nazi re-trial treaty. He informed the FDP parliamentary group of his decision at a meeting today. His possible resignation as Bundestag Deputy was not discussed. Achenbach, a former Nazi diplomat in wartime Paris, has been a key figure in blocking ratification of the 1971 treaty.
