Government action against the Hungarian Cross and Arrow, a fascist and anti-Semitic group, was demanded in the State Parliament here today by the Social Democratic Party. In their demand, the Socialists pointed out that the group, which it called a “very small but very active minority of Hungarian emigrants in Bavaria,” has been active for a decade “in organized and well planned fascist and anti-Semitic agitation.
The Bavarian Ministry of Justice, which has received many complaints against the Cross and Arrow from the Jewish community, has been replying that there are no legal provisions for banning the hate literature disseminated by the Hungarian fascist group.
Meanwhile, today, the Hessian Ministry of Justice instructed the Frankfurt prosecutor to take “preventive measures” in regard to the Cross and Arrow. The group is suspected of having been connected with an explosion at an emigrant radio station near Frankfurt, last year.
