Actor Ron Silver endorsed Rudolph Giuliani for president. Silver, who rose to fame playing Jewish roles in films such as “Enemies: A Love Story” and “Reversal of Fortune,” presented himself after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks as a Democrat who backed President Bush’s Iraq war policies. He spoke for Bush at the 2004 Republican convention in New York City. On Thursday, Giuliani’s campaign announced that Silver had joined the former New York City mayor’s team.
“Rudy had a tremendous impact as mayor of New York City, a place I am proud to call home,” Silver was quoted as saying. “His record of accomplishment is extraordinary and his vision will serve America well. He is committed to keeping our nation on the offense in the terrorists’ war on us, and I am proud to support him.”
