The Government admitted an amendment to its new public order bill as discussion of the law to ban wearing of political party uniforms was resumed in the House of Commons today, the Havas News Agency reported.

Home Secretary Sir John Simon, acceding to a Laborite proposal, excepted stage and screen actors from the Uniform ban provided their uniforms were worn only during the exercise of their profession.
