Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the Jewish Agency executive and chairman of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, yesterday announced that West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer had promised him that the Israeli-German reparations pact would be submitted to the German Parliament for ratification “in the near future.”
Dr. Goldmann made his statement immediately after a conference with Chancellor Adenauer. A spokesman for the Bonn Foreign Office also indicated that the pact might be introduced to Parliament within the next 10 to 14 days.
