Political circles here expressed the belief today that Dr. Konrad Adenauer’s determined opposition to resurgent Nazism and anti-Semitism in West Germany will be continued by his successor in the Chancellory, which Dr. Adenauer will leave this Summer.

Christian Democratic Party leaders also voiced confidence that Dr. Adenauer’s strong stand on reparations and indemnification of the victims of Nazism will be maintained by new West German Chancellor, whoever he may be.

Dr. Adenauer’s decision to resign as Chancellor and seek the Presidency of the West German Federal Republic is expected to involve a complete cabinet reshuffle. One possibility seen here is the participation of the Free Democratic Party m a coalition with the dominant Christian Democratic Union, which Dr. Adenauer heads, and the elimination from the government of the right-wing Deutsches Partie. In this event, two of the present Christian Democratic Union members of the cabinet and the one representative of the Deutches Partie, all three of whom are regarded as allegedly having had Nazi affiliations! would be dropped from the cabinet.
