The Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith announced today it had selected Under Secretary of State Nicholas de B. Katzenbach as recipient of its 1967 America’s Democratic Legacy Award.
Dore Schary, ADL chairman, in announcing the award, said it was being presented to Mr. Katzenbach in recognition of his “dynamic, skillful and inspired contributions to the cause of civil rights” as Attorney General. The presentation will be made at a dinner here on January 29 highlighting the 54th annual meeting of the ADL’s national commission, to be held January 27-30.
