Reliable sources said today that Adolph Eichmann, notorious Gestapo leader who, as Hitler’s “expert” on Jewish affairs, directed the extermination of more than 6,000,000 Jews in Europe, has appeared in Austria where he is directing the revival of neo-Nazi activities. Although widely-circulated, the report has not been officially confirmed.
Last June Eichmann was said to have been residing in Egypt recruiting Nazis there to fight with the Arabs against the Jews in Palestine. A native of the former German settlement of Sarona, near Tel Aviv, which has been renamed “Hakiryah” and is now the seat of the Provisional Government of Israel, Eichmann speaks Hebrew and Yiddish. This qualified him in Hitler’s eyes as a “specialist” on Jewish matters. During his service with the Gestapo he played an important role in bringing together the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem with top Nazi leaders.
