A joint AFL-CIO Trade Union Council for Histadrut, to aid the work of Israel’s general Federation of Labor, was established here this weekend by representatives of nearly 1,000,000 members of organized labor groups in Los Angeles County.
Albert T. Lunsford, secretary of the CIO Council of Greater Los Angeles, was elected chairman of the Council for Histadrut at the founding session. Secretary-treasurer of the new Council is W. J. Bassett, who is secretary-treasurer of the AFL Central Council here.
