After defeating the Sparta eleven, 6 to 1, here last Sunday, the Hakoah team of Vienna suffered its first defeat in the Middle West here yesterday before a record crowd of 19,000, when they played the Chicago All-Stars. The score was 6 to 2 in favor of the All Stars.
Near the close of the half Neufeld sent a hard drive into the net from the right wing for Hakoah. It looked like a sure goal, but Referee Wood ruled that the ball had struck the wooden upright and broken through the mesh.
The game was rough, four of the players being knocked out during the play.
