After this morning’s decision to organize a protest meeting at Queens Hall against the immigration stoppage in Palestine, the English Zionist Federation suddenly changed its mind and cancelled the meeting. In Zionist circles here this about face was interpreted as offering the possibility of a favorable reply from Premier MacDonald to the letter of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency, who wrote to the Prime Minister about the immigration ban.
