Rabbi Abraham J. Perlmutter, former member of the Polish parliament and oldest rabbi in Warsaw, confirmed today the report of the Crakow Polish conservative newspaper, “Czas,” that he had issued a Rosh Hashanah message to American Jews in which he pleaded for their support of the new Polish loan.
In his message Rabbi Perlmutter points out that the consummation of the loan will contribute toward a betterment of the economic situation of Polish Jewry. He also pointed to the fact that the Pilsudski government has a favorable attitude toward the Jewish population.
