Aging Mapam leader Meir Yaari could not attend the inaugural reception for President Yitzhak Navon because of ill health. On Wednesday, President Navon called on Yaari at his home in Kibbutz Merhavia. They discussed tradition, Zionism, the kibbutz movement, religion and Ben Gurion, the teacher of Navon.
