The opinion that the agitation against Professor Theodor Lessing at the Technical College of Hanover has developed into a German edition of the Dreyfus affair was expressed today by Professor Hans A. Driesch of the University of Leipsig.

In an article published today in the “Berlinner Tageblatt” Prof. Driesch declares that certain unnnamed persons are behind the agitation of the anti-Semitic students against Prof. Lessing. This agitation is merely a pretext to remove a Republican and Jewish professor from his post and the purpose of the agitation is to establish a precedent.

In a statement issued by Professor Lessing he declares. “I am being persecuted as a Jew and a Socialist.”
