The United States Department of Agriculture today announced issuance of an authorization to Israel to finance purchase of $500,000 worth of inedible tallow under the Food for Peace Program. The authorization, under Public Law 480, provides for purchase of about 2,900 metric tons of inedible tallow in 50-55-gallon drums, or in bulk.
