The World Jewish Congress which is scheduled to open at Geneva August 8 was today termed a “dangerous farce” by Jacob Rosenheim, president of the Agudath Israel, world Jewish orthodox organization, in opening the international convention here. For that reason, he said, the Agudath Israel rejected the Congress.

More than a 100 delegates representing fourteen countries are attending the convention.

The opening session was devoted to a memorial service for the victims of the Palestine disorders.

In his presidential address, Mr. Rosenheim urged upon Jewish orthodox institutions the necessity for helping Jewish immigration to Palestine.

Greetings of the organization were sent to Dr. Thomas Masaryk, retired president of Czechoslovakia and President Benes.
