The Agudath Israel World Organization has decided to establish a South American headquarters in Buenos Aires with branches in other Latin American countries. The decision was taken at the first Latin American Agudan Congress held here today under the chairmanship of Benjamin Citron, member of the Agudan World executive.
Groundbreaking ceremonies were held here today for a synagogue building to be erected by the six-year-old Mekor Haim community of Egyptian Jews, the largest such community in South America.
