A new colonization company with a preliminary paid up capital of #163;25,000 has been formed for the purpose of conducting colonization work in Palestine on purely economic lines, according to a report from the Palestine office of the Agudath Israel.
The Company will engage in intensive continuation of the settlement work in the Agudist colony of Machaneh Israel in the Emek Jezreel. The Company is headed by Dr. Emil Hirsch and Mr. I. Nussbaum of Halberstadt.
The national convention of Hai Resh, a Jewish fraternity, was held in Des Moines, Iowa recently. More than 125 members attended.
