Leaders of the Agudas Israel Organization at a press conference here today announced that they will continue their fight against the arrangements made by the Jewish Agency for the education of the Jewish refugee children from Poland who recently reached Palestine by way of Teheran.
“The Jewish Agency can stop the fight only if it agrees that the education of these children be supervised by a special commission of orthodex Jews in Palestine under the chairmanship of Chief Rabbi Herzog,” said a statement issued at the conference. Another statement explained that the Agudas Israel organization was compelled to leave the American Jewish Conference because the organizers of the Conference alloted only one seat to the organization. The statement appealed to the executive committee of the American Jewish Conference to modify its decision for the sake of unity in American Jewry.
