An emergency campaign to raise $400,000 for religious institutions in Jerusalem has been launched here following a conference of Agudas Israel leaders. At the same time, the conference appealed to the United Nations to put an “end to the bloodshed in Jerusalem by the appointment of a governor.”

Arab students here launched a campaign to raise funds “to help the Arabs of Palestine.” The money, which the students claim will be spent for medical supplies, will be turned over to the Arab office here. Meanwhile, the Arabs have turned to anti-Semitic and pro-fascist organizations in their first appeal for funds.
