Representatives of the Agudas Israel should testify before the Anglo-American inquiry commission on Palestine together with other Jewish organizations, or independently, if necessary, H.A.Goodman, political secretary of the Agudah, today told the international conference of the Orthodox group, meeting here.
At the same time, Goodman charged that the Jewish Agency has never attempted to fulfil the terms of the Mandate by securing the cooperation of all Jews interested in the restoration of Palestine. He said that the Agency had misused its power by estricting Orthodox youth in Europe to only six percent of the Palestine immigration cota, resulting in the extermination of tens of thousands by the Nazis.
Urging that the Agency and the various Palestine funds be placed above party considerations, the Agudah leader demanded that hundreds of Yeshiva students in Shanbai, Rome and Bergen-Belsen receive a priority for immigration visas to Palestine.
