In view of the catastrophic unemployment among Jews in Poland, the Conference of the Agudath Israel Executive meeting here jointly with the Rabbinical Council of the Agudath Israel, the Gerrer Rebbe being present, has issued a call to Jewish employers to engage Jewish workers.

The Conference has decided to conduct a campaign against all luxuries in the present period of distress.

A resolution has also been adopted protesting against the calendar reform project, which would result in a movable Sabboth moving difficult the proper observance of the Jewish Sabbath day.
