Agudath Israel of America praised a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives that would provide tax credits for businesses that contribute to employees’ educational expenses. The “Business Supporting Education Act of 2006” would provide tax credits of up to $100,000 per year for businesses that contribute to “educational scholarship organizations,” which offer scholarships for certain educational expenses to children in low- to moderate-income families, including religious expenses.
