Rabbi Itche Meir Levin, a member of the central committee of the World Agudas Israel organization, who has just arrived here from Palestine, told a press conference today that the Agudas Israel is not opposed to the creation of a Jewish Commonwealth in Palestine, and believes that Palestine is the early possible refuge for the Jews of Europe.
Rabbi Levin said that his chief purpose in coming to the United States was to strengthen efforts to raise funds for the support of Jewish religious activities in Palestine. While here, however, he hopes to assist in the formation of a united Jewish front on postwar Jewish problems.
