Rabbi Aharon Katzenellenbogen, the leader of Jerusalem’s Neturei Karta anti-Zionist zealot sect, died here Monday at the age of 85. Together with the late Rabbi Amram Blau, Katzenellenbogen was a principal founder of the sect, which forswears allegiance to the Jewish State on the grounds that it is wrong to set up a State before the advent of the Messiah. Katzenellenbogen reputedly never left his beloved Jerusalem throughout his life.
