Israel’s Red Mogen David has advised the Italian Red Cross that Israel is prepared to send medical crews and equipment to aid the victims of yesterday’s earthquakes in southern Italy where an estimated 400 people were killed and some 800 were injured. Italian authorities reported damage in 29 cities and towns. The Red Mogen David said the medical aid can reach the stricken area within two days and that a number of medical teams have been alerted to go to Italy on short notice.
