Leidesdorf, president of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, head the group of guest speakers who will address the Bronx chapter of the women’s division of the Federation at a report luncheon today at the Concourse Plaza. Other speakers include Mrs. David E. Goldfarb, president of the Federation of Jewish Women’s Organizations; Mrs. Sobol, and Mrs. Joseph Glanzer, chairman of the program committee.
Verdi’s “Aida” on June 27 and 28 will be the first opera presented this season at the Lewisohn Stadium, it was announced yesterday. Rosa Tentoni, Cyrena van Gordon, Paul Althouse and Mostyn Thomas will sing the leading roles. Alexander Smallens will present Gounod’s “Faust” the following week.
