The Air Force has unveiled its latest radar equipment designed for use by ground troops to detect small, slow, low flying aircraft. The mobile equipment was put on display in advance of Air Force Day this Thursday. It is installed on a truck and insulated against chemical and electronic warfare.
The Israel Defense Force claims it ranks with the best of its kind in the world. The manufacturer remains a secret but according to the IDF the equipment was adapted to suit Israel’s requirements indicating it was made abroad. It has been used in Lebanon.
