An Akko yeshiva fire was labeled arson, according to police and fire services.
Firefighters put out the blaze, which broke out at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, at the hesder yeshiva in a predominately Arab neighborhood. The building suffered damages. Students were on vacation and no one was injured.
Police told Ynet that the evidence points to an Arab arsonist.
The attack comes on the heels of violence between Jews and Arabs in the mixed city in Israel’s North that began on Yom Kippur eve. Hundreds of extra police were withdrawn last week after order was restored to the city.
