“Alexander Zisskind Rabinowitz” Day was celebrated here by Labor youth, on Saturday, in honor of the well-known Hebrew philosopher-writer’s eightieth birthday. The “grand old man” of the Palestine Jewish Socialist movement was also lauded in addresses by Chaim Nachman Bialik, M. Ezrachi-Krishewsky, and Dr. M. Glickson, editor of Haaretz, at the Oneg-Shabbat gathering that day. A crowded hall heard labor leaders speak of the veteran a Yemenite Jewish youth made a presentation of the collected works of Shabsi, noted Yemenite poet.
Rabinowitz has been made an honorary citizen of Tel Aviv.
